Gastroscopy

A Gastroscopy is an Endoscopic procedure performed in hospital under sedation. It is a day procedure. A flexible, thin tube with a camera, called an endoscope, is placed via the mouth, into the oesophagus and down to the stomach. It looks at the inside of your oesophagus, stomach and first part of your duodenum.
